The °µÍøTV (NYSED) announces the release of the 2025 New Charter School Request for Proposals (RFP) and Application Kit for applicant groups seeking to establish new charter schools authorized by the Board of Regents. The 2025 RFP expresses the continued interest of the Board of Regents in replicating high-quality school models and authorizing innovative new schools that implement priority school designs aligned with Regents strategic priorities, as described in the RFP.

ÌýInterested applicants must submit a letter of intentÌýin the CSO portal byÌýApril 22, 2025. Full applications are due July 7, 2025.

Please note that NYSED will consider an application only if charters are available for issuance in the applicant group’s proposed district of location, in accordance with State °µÍøTV Law, at the time the full application is due.ÌýNYSED anticipates that no charters will be available in New York City at the time the Full Application is due on July 7, 2025.
